We found this wine at a burlesque club near Picadilly Circus. It was quite nice, as I expect from Riscal, with good berry flavours and oak finish. I would drink this wine again.

This Rioja was quite nice. Dark berry flavours and oak nose. It has aged quite well and is drinking nicely at the moment. If you see this on a wine list, do not fear to order it.

This bottle, just like its older brother from 2007, is highly drinkable on its own. It did not disappoint at the Tesco Wine Fair and I reckon I will be getting a case of the 2008. Not surprisingly, this wine is a favourite of mine because it offers aromas and notes of berries, plums and oak plus a vanilla finish on my palate. It is slightly spicy, which makes me think it will pair nicely with marinated BBQ or a meat-based salad! Women, if you are strictly white wine drinkers, this one might convert you.

An excellent wine from St. Emilion made from merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. The flavours were intense and full, which you would expect from a St. Emilion. This wine needs to be decanted and left to breathe, as the wine took some while to open up. Recommended.

This is a medium to full-bodied white wine, that offers the drinker hints of both honey and pepper / spice. This would go very well with pan-Asian foods and probably best with Thai and Vietnamese dishes.
