This bottle was very good. Great aroma and complexity with a fresh and bold taste. Recommended.

Vintage: 2008
Type: Pinot Grigio
Country: Chile – Casablanca Valley
DESCRIPTION
This is an easy-to-drink white that is perfect on hot, dry evenings, with or without a meal. We bought a case of this at Majestic (Callais) and have enjoyed a few bottles this summer already. It is refreshing and citrusy. Good lasting finish on the palate too!

Vintage: 2007
Type: Syrah
Country: South Africa – Cape of Good Hope
I was quite disappointed with this wine. Apparently a medal winner in this years IWC, I was certainly expecting more from it. I found it harsh and acidic, which will perhaps mellow with age. Stay away for now, perhaps revisit in a few years.

Vintage: Non-Vintage
Type: Champagne
Country: France – Epernay
One of the big houses in Champagne, especially since they bought Dom. This champagne is quite good, though I find that it is over-priced compared to some of the smaller houses (and even some of the large ones). Never a bad option, especially is money is not an issue.

Vintage: 2007
Type: Fleurie
Country: France – Beaujolais
A good drinks wine, great with food. As Fleuries go, this one is very popular, probably because it’s quite easy to drink. This vintage doesn’t disappoint, though the bottle could probably sit a bit longer before drinking. Great with chicken or turkey.
